The biggest crash hotspots around Australia revealed
Australia's road toll remains a national worry, with more than 1200 people killed on the road last year.
Now, new data from AAMI has revealed the most notorious hotspots for crashes in every state and territory in the country.

8. Stuart Highway
The Northern Territory's most dangerous road is the Stuart Highway in Darwin.
Overall, the AAMI report fround that Friday was the worst day of the week for crashes, accounting for 16 per cent of them.
7. Sandy Bay Road
Sandy Bay Road in Sandy Bay topped the list for Tasmania.
Around Australia, the most dangerous time to be on the road is in the afternoon, between 1pm and 4.30pm.
6. Marion Road
Marion Road in Marion, Adelaide, is the worst place for crashes in South Australia.
The most common collision on Aussie roads were nose to tail crashes (26 per cent). Over the past 10 years, drivers were also frequently failing to give-way (19 per cent), and accidentally damaging cars while parked (17 per cent).
5. Canberra Avenue
Canberra Avenue in the capital's suburb of Fyshwick tallied up the most crashes in the ACT.
When it comes to the battle of the sexes – it seems male drivers (54 per cent) were significantly more likely than females (46 per cent) to have a crash.
4. Albany Highway
Albany Highway in Cannington, Perth, was Western Australia's biggest crash hotspot.
Older drivers aged 65 and over were the most dangerous demographic behind the wheel, with more than a quarter (26 per cent) of claims being attributed to them.
3. Bruce Highway
The Bruce Highway around Rockhampton, Queensland, was in third spot.
2. Hume Highway
The Hume Highway at Liverpool in south-west Sydney was New South Wales' worst crash spot.
"While there have been many changes, and technological advances, to the types of vehicles we drive since we started the AAMI Crash Index in 1994, AAMI's Decade of Driving Report found that unfortunately we haven't changed much about the way we drive," AAMI motor claims manager Leah James said.
1. Plenty Road
And topping the list was Plenty Road in Bundoora, Victoria.
