Car caught on camera ploughing through fences and parked cars in Adelaide

Cameras have captured the moment an alleged hoon lost control in Adelaide's northern suburbs, ploughing through fences just metres from homes.

The P-plater has been stripped of his licence as residents counted the cost of the dangerous joyride, which they say could have been deadly.

The out-of-control car catapulted through Tori's fence and into the cars parked in her driveway.

She told 9News it was lucky no one was out the front of her property at the time.

"Or it could've been really bad," she said.

Tori said that after the driver and his passenger climbed out of the car the driver told her he was going at 45km/h.

Moments before the crash the Holden Commodore was caught on camera flying around the corner onto Orana Street just after 5pm on Saturday.

Seconds later, footage captured the driver losing control and his car traveling sideways before it flew into the air.

Tori and her partner have been left to deal with the damage.

"It's heartbreaking because we spent a lot of time saving to do renovations to this house to get it where it is now," she said.

Residents said young children often ride their bikes along the street to get to and from a nearby park.

"Tonnes of kids ride around this whole area, so it's quite concerning," resident Stephen Thompson said.

The driver, an 18-year-old Gulfview Heights man, was reported for speeding and driving without due care.

He has lost his license for 12 months and will appear in court at a later date.
