Man to face Sydney court after allegedly trying to open plane exit mid-flight
A Canadian man will appear in a Sydney court today after allegedly trying to open a plane's emergency exit door mid-flight.
It will be alleged the man was seen trying to open the door about two hours into the Vancouver-Sydney flight on May 14.
Another passenger pulled him away.

Staff moved the man to a seat at the rear of the aircraft and supervised him for the rest of the flight.
The man was allegedly drunk at the time.
Australian Federal Police arrested the man at Sydney International Airport and charged him with threatening the safety of the aircraft.
If found guilty, the man could face a maximum penalty of $5000, a prison sentence, or both.
