Campervan fire triggers 10km traffic jam on Sydney highway

A campervan fire sparked a traffic jam stretching 10 kilometres on the M1 Pacific Highway north of Sydney today.
Traffic along the M1 at Mt White became clogged after a campervan burst into flames around 1.30pm.
One of three southbound lanes near the Weigh Station was closed with motorists warned to exercise caution and allow extra time for travel.

The destroyed campervan was eventually towed from the scene and all lanes were reopened.
It’s not yet known what caused the blaze, however the occupants of the campervan were unharmed.
