CCTV shows moment ute rams Melbourne e-scooter store

Dramatic CCTV footage has shown the moment an inner north Melbourne e-scooter store was ram-raided.

Three people remain on the run over the incident, with a number of expensive scooters unaccounted for.

Footage shows a silver ute mounting a curb and ramming into Hyped Rides on Sydney Rd in Brunswick about 5.30am.

The impact shattered the store's glass doors, causing extensive damage.

Three people fled the scene in the ute, which was last seen travelling northbound on Sydney Road.

Police said a woman was inside the building during the ram raid with her dog.

She was not injured but was taken to hospital for observation.

A crime scene has been established as detectives investigate the incident.
