Vision captures teen being arrested inside Brisbane drain after police chase

Three teenagers have been arrested over a string of alleged break-and-enters in Brisbane's north, with dramatic footage obtained by 9News showing the moment one of them was arrested inside a drain.

The 16-year-old boy from Stafford was bitten by a police dog during the arrest then taken to hospital.

The teenagers had been on the run from the police after allegedly breaking into multiple homes at Paddington, Auchenflower and Red Hill on Sunday and yesterday.

Two cars were allegedly stolen at Annie Street in Paddington about 1.30am yesterday.

"I rushed down the stairs and saw three men in my kitchen," Paddington resident Elizabeth Burnett said.

"I came out on the deck and I watched them steal my Land Rover wagon," she claimed.

Police caught the trio travelling by car at Herston after rolling out tyre spikes.

The cars were then dumped at Northey Street at Wilston.

One of the teens was arrested while the other three fled on foot.

Queensland Police Minister Dan Purdie commended police on the arrest.

"This is an example of the work they do, the risky work they do," he said,

"Not just police but our police dogs."

Of the three teens arrested, two have been charged with a combined total of 19 offences. 

The 16-year old boy fronted court today and a 17-year-old will appear before a magistrate on March 17.
