Brisbane man bashed after thugs stole his BMW

A Brisbane man who chased down a driver who ran into his BMW has been bashed and robbed of his luxury car.

The 25-year-old victim was sitting in his black BMW in the Brisbane CBD when it was hit by another car about 10pm yesterday.

The second car took off and the BMW owner followed it to St Lucia, where he found it had hit a tree.

When he confronted the two people inside, they assaulted him and fled in his BMW.

Police are hunting for the pair and the BMW, which has Queensland registration 704XBP.
