Several hospitalised after mini bus, truck and 4WD collide

Several people are in hospital this afternoon after a crash involving a minivan, a truck and a four-wheel drive in Sydney’s south-west.

9NEWS understands that the three-vehicle crash occurred when a four-wheel drive braked in front of a truck heading north on Northern Road in Bringelly at around 1.30pm this afternoon.

The truck swerved to avoid it and the Hyundai ended up on the wrong side of the road, crashing into the south-bound minibus, totalling both vehicles.

Six people on board the minibus were injured, including one with a head gash, NSW Police has confirmed.

It is believed the bus was transporting a group of adults with disabilities.

Eight of those injured required further treatment, including the female driver of the four-wheel drive.

They were transported to the Nepean, Liverpool and Fairfield Hospitals, NSW Ambulance told 9NEWS.

The Northern Road was closed in both directions at Mersey Road due to the crash and people were advised to avoid the area.
