Bombers unjustly treated: Shorten
AAP
Federal Labor leader Bill Shorten believes the AFL players banned for anti-doping offences have been "very hard done by".
Mr Shorten said being scrubbed out from 2016 was not a fair outcome for 12 current Essendon players, when all they did was trust their club and administration.
"I feel that the players have been unjustly treated. I feel that the fans have been unjustly treated," he told reporters in Melbourne on Tuesday.
