Body found in search for missing Murray River swimmer

NSW Police believe they have found the body of a man who went missing while swimming at Tocumwal at the weekend.
A 23-year-old man was last seen swimming across the river at Tocumwal, just north of the Victoria border, on Sunday afternoon.
Witnesses said the man went under and did not re-surface.

Officers from Murray River Police District, local SES volunteers and Marine Rescue from Moama have searched the river over the last 48 hours without success.
But this morning at 9am a male body was located near Pebbly Beach.
He is yet to be formally identified.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
