Manhunt under way after man allegedly shot in Melbourne shopping centre carpark

A manhunt is under way in Melbourne after a man was allegedly shot in a shopping centre car park yesterday.

Emergency services were called to Station and High Streets in Bayswater shortly before 4pm, where a man was found with a suspected gunshot wound.

It is believed two men were seen arguing in a supermarket carpark prior to the incident.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Exclusive images obtained by 9News show a man clutching his stomach wearing a bloodied white shirt.

Police are now investigating the circumstances of the alleged shooting.

A crime scene has been established.

No arrests have been made.
