Bikie wanted by police in multiple states arrested after months on the run

Tarek Zahed, the 'Balenciaga bikie' has been arrested at a Sydney Airbnb after weeks on the run and a manhunt that spanned across two states.

The high-profile underworld figure was arrested on the doorstep of a Dundas Valley property around 7pm yesterday.

Police also allegedly discovered $12,800 in cash inside a car on the property.

He was on parole after serving two years in jail for hindering a homicide investigation.

The 45-year-old Comanchero heavyweight was wanted in both New South Wales and Victoria after his parole was revoked late last month over an alleged assault.

Police claim he was present during an alleged brawl outside Melbourne's Love Machine nightclub, a known hangout for the outlaw motorcycle group.

In 2022, Zahed survived an ambush at an Auburn gym which killed his younger brother.

The former Commanchero kingpin was hit with up to to 10 bullets, including one to his head which left him with one eye.

The notorious underworld figure was caught by police months after he was shot, in a dramatic arrest on an Edgecliff street.

He was forced to front court over the execution of Youssef Assoum before charges were eventually dropped.

Instead he was charged for hindering the homicide investigation and given two years' jail before being released in December.

The owner of the Airbnb says the booking was only made at 2am yesterday - two people for three nights.

A 38-year-old man was also arrested at the address but was later released without charge.

Zahed was taken to Gladesville Police Station, where officers executed the warrant.

He has since been transferred into the custody of the Department of Corrective Services NSW.
