Revealed: The suburbs where Australia's hardest workers live
Australians are considered some of the hardest-working citizens in the world, according to accounting company Reckon.
Its research used Australian Bureau of Statistics data to find the suburbs with the hardest working residents.
It was determined by seven weighted factors like working hours, productivity, employment rate and unpaid domestic work to create an index score.
Here are the top ten.
9. Riverina, New South Wales
New South Wales' Riverina area had a score of 68.03.
The average hours worked in a week was 69 hours.
The region has an employment rate of 88 with a 74 per cent productivity.
It significantly lacked in the number of potential workers with just 14 per cent.
8. Sydney's east, New South Wales
Sydney's eastern suburbs came in with a total score of 69.85.
The worker is spending 94 hours a week at their job with 69 per cent holding multiple roles.
The region has a 23 per cent employment rate with a 70 per cent productivity rate.
It also had the second lowest employment rate of the top ten, with it only at 23 per cent.
7. Melbourne's inner east, Victora
Melbourne's inner east had a total score of 70.24.
The average worker is spending 84 hours a week at their job with 94 per cent holding multiple jobs.
The region has a 44 per cent employment rate with a 60 per cent productivity rate.
6. New England and North West, New South Wales
New England and North West in New South Wales had a total score of 71.25.
The average worker spent 84 hours a week at their job.
It had the highest rate of people with multiple jobs at 100.
The area has a 88 per cent employment rate with a 59 per cent productivity rate.
5. Inner Melbourne, Victoria
Inner Melbourne had a total score of 71.32.
The average worker is spending 78 hours a week at their job with 78 per cent holding multiple jobs.
The region has the highest productivity rate of 97 per cent.
It also has the lowest employment rate with only 16 per cent.
4. Darling Downs, Queensland
The Darling Downs region in Queensland came in fourth with a total score of 72.01 per cent.
The average worker is clocking in a leading 100 hours a week with 62 per cent holding more than one job.
The area has an 88 per cent employment rate who are pumping out 76 per cent of productivity.
2. Central West, New South Wales
New South Wales' Central West came in second with a score of 77.
Residents work an average of 91 hours a week with 83 per cent having several jobs.
It has an 88 per cent employment rate with a 72 per cent productivity rate.
1. North Sydney and Hornsby, New South Wales
North Sydney and Hornsby is the country's hardest working region, excelling in working hours and productivity.
It has a total score of 81.32.
The area spends 93 hours a week at their job with 51 per cent having more than one role.
It also has an employment rate of 70 with a productivity rate of 90.
