Arrest after body found in Vic mine

A man has arrested after a body believed to be that of a missing Melbourne man was found in an abandoned mine.
Detectives investigating the suspicious disappearance of 48-year-old Deer Park man Ricky Lee Ganly in April last year found the body in a mine shaft on Sunday.
They arrested a 28-year-old man in Maryborough about 4pm (AEDT) on Sunday.

He is currently in custody and assisting police with their inquiries.
Police divers found the body in a submerged car in a water-filled, 20m deep mine near Avoca in central Victoria.
Police say Mr Ganly was last seen by his girlfriend at his Doherty Street home about April 28 last year.
He has not accessed his bank accounts or been seen since.
