Driver busted allegedly more than seven times over the limit in NSW
A man has been charged with high-range drink driving after allegedly being busted while more than seven times the legal limit in northern New South Wales.
Just after 1.30pm yesterday, police received numerous calls about a white Holden Rodeo allegedly seen to be driving erratically in the Speers Point area, colliding with gutters and raised concrete median strips.
Police pulled the car over on Croudace Bay Road, Belmont, where the driver, a 29-year-old man, was subjected to a roadside breath test that returned a positive result.

He was arrested and taken to Belmont Police Station, where a secondary breath analysis returned a reading of 0.359 – more than seven times the legal limit of 0.05.
A blood-alcohol content of 0.4 is considered potentially fatal.
He was issued a court attendance notice and his licence was suspended.
The man will appear in court on June 18.
