Aged care complaints pass to commissioner

Australia's Aged Care Commissioner will take over dealing with complaints about care provided to elderly people receiving government-subsidised services from next year.
A bill to implement the 2015 budget measure to transfer the responsibilities from the Department of Social Services passed the Senate unopposed on Thursday.
The changes, forecast to save $2.8 million over four years, are expected to pass the House of Representatives.
