A tradesman has died two weeks after a workplace accident on a road in Adelaide.

Shane Juillerat, from Paralowie, was rushed to hospital with critical head injuries after he is understood to have fallen several metres from a truck in West Croydon on April 5.

The 42-year-old father died in Royal Adelaide Hospital on Sunday, South Australia Police told 9news.com.au.

It is suspected the truck he was working with was tangled in overhead wires.

SA Police will be prepare a report for the Coroner.
