Second-hand store targeted in brazen ram raid in Adelaide's west

A second-hand store was targeted in a brazen ram raid in the early hours of this morning.

A stolen car was reversed into the Findon Road pawn broker, and second hand store in Adelaide’s west suburbs around 5AM, smashing a hole in the brick wall that the thieves then crawled through.

The break-in triggered the store's security alarm but the offenders managed to escape with a number of items.

Police were quickly on scene, but a search of the area failed to find the suspects.

The car used in the ram raid was dumped at the scene and has now been seized for forensic examination.

Investigators say it was stolen from Allenby Gardens two days before Christmas.
