Man accused of harassing women in public parks asks for leniency because he 'won't do it again'

A man accused of harassing women in public parks in Adelaide has asked a magistrate for a home detention sentence because he says he'll never do it again.

Vu Tru Dinh is facing twelve charges of disorderly behaviour over the course of six months from November last year to May this year.

"I did not mean to do it, I did not have any intention to do it. And I can confirm it will not happen again," Dinh said outside court.

The 21-year-old from Paradise made the same promise inside court.

He is studying law and wanted to represent himself, repeatedly telling the magistrate that he understands his mistakes.

The magistrate, however, said he needed to see a lawyer telling him the charges are serious and Dinh is of "great concern to the community".

The matter will return to court on November 28.
