James Franco calls Hillary Clinton ‘the smartest guy in the room’ in hilarious endorsement

Actor James Franco has become the latest celebrity to endorse Hillary Clinton for US President, and he did it in hilarious fashion.

Franco voiced and starred in a $1 million advertisement throwing his support behind the White House hopeful, which was posted to Youtube yesterday.

In the 30-second clip, he explained why he thinks the Democrat is the best person to become the next president.

“The smartest guy in the room is always her,” he says as stock footage of Clinton rolls.

“After she opens a can of whoopa--, she always recycles the can.

“Her secret service code name is ‘Hermione,’ because she’s a f---ing wizard. She’s The Most Interesting Woman in the World.”

The clip is a spoof of a US beer commercial.

“Hillary Clinton has led an amazing life; it is not a stretch to describe her as the most interesting woman in the world,” Franco said in a statement.

“I got involved in this project because I wanted more people, particularly younger people, to get to know an extraordinary woman who has, through a lifetime a work, earned our trust and support.”

Clinton has a long list of celebrity backers including Meryl Streep, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, George Clooney, Ben Affleck, Miley Cyrus, Adele and Jay-Z.
