Keys key to alleged ACT thief's undoing

Car keys were the key to the undoing of an alleged car thief after Canberra police tracked him down at a pub.

The 34-year-old man was inside the Narrabundah hotel when he was approached by police who believed he was a suspect in a number of cases.

Officers discovered he was in possession of a set of car keys for a vehicle in the car park that had been allegedly stolen on January 4.

The man will face court on burglary and theft charges.
