"Once is OK, second time it hurts a bit," he said.
Darryl had to pay out of his own pocket the first time around with then Ashfield Council telling him they were unaware of the problem tree, which was later removed.
Inner West Council had inspected the tree that caused the latest problem but described it as healthy.
"It was pretty clear to the residents at least that something bad was going to happen one day and it did," Darryl said.
Inner West Council statement
A senior Council officer has called and spoken with Mr Brown and has offered him ongoing assistance with submitting a claim to our insurer.
We will also be inspecting all of the trees in Rangers Rd at a time that suits Mr Brown so he can point out any particular areas of concern.
We’d love to hear from you
