Squatters move into man's home and trash it while he's in hospital

From hospital to housing hell, while battler Glen was recovering from a stroke, squatters moved into his home and trashed it.

Now he wants help getting them out of his complex.

"They're disgusting, no respect for anyone," he said.

"There were needles everywhere.

"They got my shirt and they were wiping their bum with it."

Glen survived a stroke and seven and a half months in hospital, but nothing could prepare him for what waited at home.

Squatters had broken in and moved in.

What should have been Glen's sanctuary became his nightmare.

Glen's place was so dirty it was dangerous and a forensic clean was required.

Rylee, Glen's support worker, said it "looked like a slaughterhouse".

"There was blood up and down the walls and on the roof, it was like someone had been killed in here," Rylee said.

While the mess may be gone now, the squatters are not.
