New twist for woman who received fine for fleeing accident she wasn't near
There's been a welcomed development for Newcastle woman Vicki Forrest who previously told A Current Affair she'd received a fine for leaving the scene of an accident that she claimed she was nowhere near.
NSW Police have now withdrawn the fine.
Forrest said she was more than two hours away at the time the accident happened in western Sydney.

She said she was at a hotel with her friend Di playing their regular Friday night raffle competition and when she got home her car was still in the driveway without a scratch.
But despite her alibi, NSW Police issued her with a fine worth hundreds of dollars anyway.
"So I have spent over $3000 getting a lawyer to fight this as I am an innocent person and I just can't accept these fines," Forrest said.
She can breath a sigh of relief because after she shared her story with A Current Affair she received a call from a detective who said the fine had been dropped.
