Meet the MAFS class of 2020

Tonight - Australia's biggest social experiment returns. Married At First Sight is set to kick off its seventh season... so what do you need to know about the class of 2020?

She's loud, she's proud. Thirty-two-year-old Hayley is on the hunt for a husband.

"Some would say crazy but it's all a matter of perspective really isn't it?" Hayley told A Current Affair.

The glamazon says she needs someone who can handle her confidence, her strict fitness regime and most importantly her past. For 10 years Hayley says she struggled with a drug addiction.

"I battled things that most women my age could only imagine - homelessness, mental abuse, physical abuse. What I can bring to the table is something that far outweighs my past."

The brunette bombshell is set to be the most talked-about and talkative bride of the season.

Move over Jessika Power, here comes Stacey.

"People sit back and go, you know, 'how can you have a law degree and two kids?'"

"You can do whatever you want if you put your mind to it. I think you're lazy. Sorry," the twenty-five-year-old self-proclaimed over-achiever told A Current Affair.

"My usual type is normally more masculine, I would say. Tattoos, that sort of look."

The mum-of-two is now set to marry her match on MAFS, but she says her boys will always come first.

"I think a lot of guys are intimidated by the fact that I do already have two kids and they're young," said Stacey.

Hubby, fast cars and designer accessories... second.

Thirty-eight-year-old photographer, Poppy, is willing to give love and marriage a second chance.

"I've got two-year-old twins and when they were six weeks old my husband had a terrible accident. He tripped over and fell and landed in his co-workers vagina," Poppy told A Current Affair.

"I've always cracked jokes in the best or the worst situations. I can't help myself."

Poppy said she's doing it for her boys.

"The days when I didn't even want to get out of bed, but I had to. I get so upset when I talk about them, still. I remember exactly how it felt. They saved me."

Amanda, 34, is tough as nails.

"Mummy and daddy didn't help me in life, do you know what I mean? I am a self-made woman," Amanda told A Current Affair.

"I come from a relatively semi-strong European background. And I love sneakers and Versace."

The strength and mind set coach will feature in Married at First Sight's first ever wedding between two brides.

"My dad basically threatened me to not go on the show because he thought he was going to lose his job. Well what about your daughter? Isn't that more important?"

So, what about the guys?

David's a former athlete turned truckie, looking for a wife who likes the simple life, VERY simple life. "Here I am out in a shack on 300 acres, with my smokey Mitsubishi, the roof leaks in six different spots, hot water doesn't work sometimes... and I'm happy!" David told A Current Affair.

And on the other end of the scale - Mikey.

"I haven't really struggled to get attention in the past, to be honest with you. It's not something I've struggled to get from the opposite sex," Mikey told A Current Affair.

"When things get tough, I run. There's no doubt about that."

Fifty-one-year-old Steve says he usually dated much younger women. Now he's on a mission to find himself a wife his own age.

But his partner will need to overcome his cheating past.

"You know cheating is not a nice thing to do, it's a disturbing, disgusting thing to do and I'm extremely remorseful for that," Steve told A Current Affair.

Could true blue Josh be the next Mick? Who last season everyone fell in love with - except his wife! "I've wanted to be a dad since I was 13-years-old," said Josh.

The truck drive from Sydney's got some advice for the fellas:"When you'se are arguing or fighting, just be careful what you're saying. When I'm angry I say things and then I regret it straight away, and they can have a lasting impact on someone," David told A Current Affair.

"I don't think there's anything particularly special about me." Australia might disagree.
