Home owner left in the dark after excavator hits power cable
A Current Affair Staff

Peter Jones has been living with power cords running all through his house for the past month in order to keep at least one light on.
He can't even lock his house properly, with cables running through doors from an external source.
The set-up keeps the fridge running, but not much else.

He said he has been left in this situation after an excavation job to install a new septic system.
"I've got to unplug stuff to plug stuff back in, so I don't overload the circuit," he said.
"I just want my power back on, simple as that."
