Hector once played for Argentina. Now he’s cheering on his team

Former pro footballer Hector Abel Martinez has rubbed shins with two of the late greats - Brazil legend Pelé and Argentinian demigod Diego Maradona.

Maradona was England’s nemesis on Argentina’s path to World Cup glory 40 years ago.

Hector is praying modern-day messiah Messi will conduct some divine intervention against the Poms in Thursday’s do-or-die clash.
