The Aussie couple leaving lockdown life on land behind
Most of us have thought about it, but imagine actually packing up everything and leaving this lockdown life on land behind.
A Melbourne couple has taken that plunge - buying a yacht and sailing far away from the restrictions which plagued their state.
Kristina Costalos and John Tilley are now three months into their adventure and judging by the water which circles their boat in Airlie Beach right now, they're not looking back.

"I just remember thinking to myself there has to be more to my life right now," Ms Costalos, a former news reporter, said.
"I don't even know what day it is anymore."
Her partner Mr Tilley, a pilot, has been in and out of work for much of the past two years because of COVID-19.

He agreed with Ms Costalos, the sky is no longer the limit.
"Yeah the sea is the limit, or the border quarantine requirements, that's the limit," he laughed.
The couple admit getting their hands on a boat was the hardest part as many Australians "escape" to the water.

"It seems everyone has looked at home to scratch that itch," Mr Tilley said.
"We found it quite challenging, there were few (boats) on the market and a lot of competition.
"They haven't been able to import boats through COVID so there's a massive shortage."

The couple had no real sailing experience before setting off on their adventure and said they took lessons, and spent a lot of time living on the boat to get used to it.
"I don't think this is for everyone, and John's navigation experience has been an absolute bonus," Ms Costalos said.
"For example our auto pilot failed when we were in Bass Strait. It was a really scary experience but John was able to stay at the helm for 17 hours and get us through."
