Police are continuing to investigate an alleged assault which occurred in Melton last Thursday (1 August).

Investigators have been told the victim, a 30-year-old Melton man was assaulted outside an address by two men in Hawkins Place about 3pm.

It is believed the parties are known to each other.

The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and did not require treatment.

Police have identified the men involved in the incident and the investigation remains ongoing.
