9News Unmasked episode nine: Peter Hitchener's prickly blunder he realised on air
Melbourne newsreader Peter Hitchener realised he made a prickly blunder while presenting the news recently, telling the hilarious story on episode nine of 9News Unmasked.
Hitch told co-panellists Tony Jones and Livinia Nixon he had forgotten to shave due to wearing a mask.
"How far into the news did you realise you hadn't had a shave?" TJ asked Hitch.

"You wear a mask in and sometimes you forget what's under the mask, which was on that day that I hadn't had a shave," Hitch said.
"And so, I sat on the make-up chair and off came the mask and I was made up ... I actually hadn't shaved."
"I hadn't noticed," Livinia added.

"Neither did the make-up artist," Hitch replied.
TJ also recounted his horror experience on a ride in Disneyland and how he plans to spend Grand Final Day amid lockdown.
