Australia now has three pilots fully qualified to fly our two new Lockheed F-35 Lightning strike fighters.
RAAF Flight Lieutenant Edwin Borrman has now completed F-35 flight training, following in the footsteps of Squadron Leaders Andrew Jackson and David Bell as fully qualified to instruct other pilots in flying the advanced aircraft.
Flight Lieutenant Borrman made his qualifying flight aboard a US Air Force F-35 at Luke Air Force Base in the US, where Australia's two aircraft are part of the international flight training pool.
