Young girl wags school and fulfills dreams of flying without even having a ticket
A Russian mother is suing Moscow airport and an airline after her 10-year-old daughter evaded security staff and boarded a plane without a ticket.
The girl, who had never flown on a plane, successfully breached multiple security points and set off on a 90-minute journey to St Petersburg, Fox News reports.
It was only upon landing, some 700kms from her hometown, that she was apprehended by police, who spotted her wandering around unaccompanied.
CCTV footage highlights the embarrassing gaffe by airport staff that allowed the young girl to take a seat on a plane with no ticket.
The brave adventurer, wearing a backpack and pink ribbon in her hair, mills around other passengers in front of a security check point, before sneaking through unseen.
Her parents reported the girl missing when she did not return home from school that day.
The girl's trip, made with no ticket or identification, sends "a serious alert sign" about airport security, said a children's rights ombudsman.
