World’s best selling fake tan hails from Australia

Bondi is already famous across the world for its beach, sun-drenched landscape and lifestyle.

Now a tanning brand inspired named after it is making waves across the globe.

Aussie-owned and made Bondi Sands launched its new fake tan formula 1 Hour Express Tanning Foam on January 26, promising users a golden glow in just one hour.

The product has already sold 55,000 units at Australian Priceline stores since its launch, while over in the United Kingdom- where the Beast from the East has kept the sunrays well away- more than 100,000 units have been scanned at the checkout.

The staggering sales have catapulted the product, which retails for $24.95, to the number one fake tan outside of the United States, Elle Australia reports.

Reviews for the product so far have been positive, with 66 percent of users awarding it four stars or above on the Bondi Sands website.

“Applies easily (no streaks), quickly dries and gives the most beautiful Australian tan,” one glowing review said.

On finder.com.au, an independent review praised the product for not being “streaky or orange”.
