Woman overjoyed to see paralysed dog walk post-surgery

A Californian woman has been overwhelmed with joy after watching her formerly paralysed dog, Sammi, walk following surgery.

The tearful reunion, first posted on YouTube back in 2008, recently went viral, receiving more than 200,000 views.

“I can’t believe it!” Sammi’s owner said.

“Thank you!”

Sammi, who became suddenly quadriplegic due to a degenerative neck condition, was submitted to a special medical centre in Santa Monica for operation.

After three months of rehabilitation, Sammi regained the ability to walk.

His transformation comes as a complete shock to his owner, who can be seen dropping a magazine and covering her mouth with her hands.
