Pigs don't fly: Porky passenger kicked off flight

A woman has been kicked off a US Airways flight in Connecticut after boarding the plane with a pet pig.

The young woman brought the pig along as "emotional support", the airway said, but problems arose when the animal became distressed and began moving along the plane.

Passengers also complained about the smell, including University of Massachusetts Amherst professor Jonathan Skolnik.

Prof Skolnik told ABC News the woman and her unusual pet - which he first thought was a duffel bag - sat next to him.

He said he had been "terrified" at the thought of undergoing the flight with the animal next to him, as it grew more agitated.
