Woman arrested after yoga performance on live train tracks
A US woman has been arrested after shocking footage captured the moment she jumped onto a Washington train track and performed a series of yoga moves.
In the footage, obtained by NBC Washington, the woman can be seen taking off her coat and scarf before she and a man jump off the Washington Metro station platform and onto the live tracks.
She then proceeds to pull yoga poses on the tracks, seemingly enjoying the dangerous choice of location for the meditative practice – all while the man accompanying her snaps photographs of her antics.
The footage shows the woman performing a handstand and then almost toppling onto nearby electrified rails, before righting herself.
The pair are then seen climbing back onto the platform, speaking with a Metro employee, and hopping on a train.
The footage was recorded last December, and the woman was reportedly arrested and charged with trespassing this week, after NBC Washington aired the clip.
She is due in court later this month.
