Washington man caught making burger after breaking into restaurant

A Washington man has gone to great lengths to satisfy his cravings, breaking into a fast-food chain restaurant not to steal money but to make himself a cheeseburger.

The Washington Metropolitan Police Department said the man followed a delivery man into a Five Guys restaurant and waited until he left before helping himself to food and drink.

CCTV video shows the man fixing himself a drink before assembling a burger.

The real-life “Hamburglar” can also be seen helping himself to a bottle of water before departing the premises.

Police are yet to apprehend the burger burglar.

Five Guys specialises in hamburgers, hot dogs and French fries.
