'Child gunman' video emerges as US raises airport security

A new video has emerged from Islamic State terrorists, which is disturbing - even for them.

For the first time, they've used a child, to execute two Russian prisoners.

For months, Jihad John has horrified the world beheading captives on camera in the name of the ISIL. 

Now a new video shows a far younger executioner has emerged from the Middle East.

This time the executioner is a child armed with a handgun and assassinates the two captives at point-blank range.

The video claims the pair was Russian spies. Their interrogation is shown, although the video is yet to be verified.

Prime Minister Tony Abbott described ISIL as "very sophisticated" and "gruesome beyond belief".

It comes as Airports across the United States beef up already tight security.

Officials have said there have been no specific threats. Airline chiefs instead briefed on a number of smaller threats, including a new online recipe for homemade explosives.

Also published in Al Qaeda's magazine were claims the so-called hidden bomb isn't picked up by standard metal detectors.

Counter-terrorism experts call it the most lethal, most detailed recipe yet - complete with instructions of where to sit for maximum impact.
