"A viewer emailed me last month," Price wrote.

"She saw a lump on my neck. Said it reminded her of her own. Hers was cancer.

"Turns out, mine is too."

Price explained that thanks to an email from the Good Samaritan, a successful diagnosis was made.

She said she underwent surgery earlier this week to remove both the tumor, her thyroid gland and some nearby lymph nodes.

"Had I never received that email… The cancer would have continued to spread," Price wrote.

"I will forever be thankfully to the woman who went out of her way to email me, a total stranger."

Price included in the post an image of herself and the seemingly invisible growth.

Responding to a question from one follow, she admits the tumor isn't "the easiest to see".

"It's not super obvious unless you know what to look for," Price said.

Price's tweet since gone viral, accumulating 1.6 retweets and comments, and 16,700 likes.
