US woman shamelessly pulls out her fake eye on camera

Ever wondered what is behind your eyeball? A US woman has revealed all in a video showing how she removes and replaces her prosthetic eye.

The clip was first published online in 2008, but got noticed this week and its views have suddenly soared to more than five million.

Without saying a word, the girl in the footage calmly touches what appears to be her healthy left eye and pops it out.

She then opens up the empty socket giving a viewers a detailed view inside the cavity.

The US woman quickly pops the prosthetic back in place and smiles at the camera. YouTube pundits have been quick to respond to the footage.

One user wrote, "She is so pretty".
