A 13-year-old boy from the USA is being charged as an adult with first-degree murder after he allegedly killed a homeless man.

Florida boy Yoel Munoz was indicted by a grand jury in the stabbing death of a 51-year-old man, who died earlier this month after an attack in Cape Coral, CBS affiliate WINK reports.

It’s alleged Munoz stabbed the man several times before running home covered in blood.

Police said they found a knife and a bloody mask belong to Munoz at the scene.

The teen is not eligible for the death penalty because of his age, but faces up to life in prison.

Munoz was transferred from a juvenile detention facility to the Lee County Jail on Wednesday afternoon.
