Torpedo shark knocks paddle boarder into the ocean

A paddle boarder has been knocked into the ocean by a shark when it launched out of the water and straight into his board.

Maximo Trinidad was off the coast of Florida last week when a spinner shark torpedoed itself into the air.

Trinidad was sent sprawling backwards into the waves directly next to the predator. Despite the scary run-in, Trinidad told ABC News he wasn’t concerned and jumped back on the board while laughing it off.

"It was awesome… I was not even scared," he said.

Spinner sharks are known to leap into the air and large specimens can grow to nearly 3m.
