Star Trek star arrested for alleged exposure to minors

A star of the television series Star Trek: Voyager has been arrested for allegedly exposing herself to children.

Police in Harriman, Tennessee, were called to the home of 41-year-old Jennifer Ann Lien on September 3 after a run-in with a neighbour, WATE.com reports.

Lien, who played medical assistant Kes on the Star Trek reboot, is said to have been set off after abusing a neighbour for their crying children.

Neighbour Carey Smith told WATE.com Lien walked past her home and "started saying vulgar things".

"I mean really vulgar things, I told her to mind her own business and keep on walking," Smith said.

"All of a sudden her shirt came up – she started flashing and 'woo hoo' and I said 'and what respect is that for kids?' There was none. And then she turned around and dropped her pants."

Other neighbours called police, who arrived at Lien's house to find her naked on her couch covered by a blanket.

Two deputies from Roane County asked her to put on clothes and called for a female deputy, when Lien allegedly told them she would have them all shot and killed.

She was eventually cuffed and carried to a patrol car before being taken to Roane County Detention Center.

She is facing two counts of exposing herself to a child under the age of 13 and her bond has been set at US$2500.
