'Possessed' golf cart stumps security guards

A “possessed” golf cart on the grounds of a US university has been filmed resisting all attempts to be subdued.

Video shows the unoccupied golf cart suddenly taking on a life of its own at Loyola University in Chicago on April 16 when it somehow becomes locked in reverse at full throttle.

Students can be heard laughing in the background as the golf cart screeches backward in circles.

Two security guards arrive on the scene but appear stumped as to what to do next.

One guard eventually smashes a window, but still can’t stop the cart.

The guard finally throws caution aside and grabs the cart with his bare hands, holding it still while his colleague climbs inside.

The students burst into a round of applause as the vehicle is finally brought to a halt.
