Daredevil BASE jumps from cable car
If there was a way to make BASE jumping even more terrifying, one man in British Columbia has found it.
Suspended some 427 metres above the ground and in a moving cable car, an unnamed daredevil is joined in the tiny gondola by a woman who props the door open with her feet.
"How high are we?" she asks in a video of the death-defying stunt.
"High enough," the man pants back.
Equipped with a GoPro camera on his helmet, the man teeters at the edge of the cable car and looks down to take in the terrifying leap.
Seconds later, breathing heavily, the man positions himself outside the car, asks his companion, "You ready to do this?" before leaping off.
As he soars down amongst the tree tops the daredevil screams and laughs before landing on the white snow.
But the jump didn't go totally to plan, with police now confirming that they are investigating the illegal BASE jump and could fine the man more than $5000 over the stunt.
