Police find coffin full of weapons

Police in the US are calling on the owner of a cache of deadly weapons concealed in a coffin to come forward and collect their medieval arsenal.

Officers from Florida's Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission found the coffin lying upside down on the wood line near Lake Dias Park near Deland on Thursday, TV station News13 reports.

The officials contacted the local sheriff's department who opened the coffin and found 46 items including a crossbow and a mace.

Among the weapons and tools police found a set of nunchuks, double-sided axe, a baseball bat with screws attached, wooden handle with attached metal hook and a crowbar.

There was no evidence that the weapons had been used and police do not suspect foul play.
