US church bares all

A pastor in the US is being praised by his parishioners for his unusual and eye opening preaching style – which he performs in the nude.

Pastor Allan Parker also encourages his congregation to strip off during worship – a move he believes will help them find inner peace and "start accepting themselves".

"There's not a feeling that you have to be better than one another, physically," Parker said.

"We're humans, we have scars, we have what we have. It's learning to love and accept that."

The church, which sits on the grounds of the White Tail Nudist Resort in Virginia, has become a haven for many locals who are more than happy to swap their Sunday best for their birthday suit.

One local, Katie Church, told Liberty Voice that she wasn't into nudity when she first attended.

But that all changed when she met her now-husband Robert.

"Once we were married and we were here, this whole place became our family," Mrs Church said.

"I feel like I can turn to anyone in this church, or even in this park, and they will be there to help me."

Mr Church said the chapel offered followers more of a Christian community without the pretence of a traditional-style church.

"People are more open as far as hearing the word of God," he said.
