Law enforcement raids in Nancy Guthrie search end with no arrests

A major law enforcement operation n the south-western United States in the search for Nancy Guthrie, near the missing 84-year-old's home, has ended without any arrests.

Multiple vehicles from crime fighting agencies, including SWAT and forensics units, descended on the house, about 4km from the Tucson home of Guthrie, mother of US TV host Savannah Guthrie.

Local authorities and the FBI also converged at a second location near where law enforcement activity was under way.

Eleven days after Nancy Guthrie went missing from her Arizona home, new evidence and videos should be bringing authorities closer to finding the 84-year-old.

It's unknown if the new location was related to the ongoing Guthrie investigation.

Authorities were seen investigating a grey Range Rover in a parking lot of a restaurant.

Both operations on Saturday ended without any arrests, reports CNN.

Law enforcement questioned one man but released him, believing him not to be the kidnapper, the official said. The man was cooperative.

Guthrie, 84, was reported missing on January 31.

Authorities say her blood was found on the front porch of her Tucson-area home.

Purported ransom notes were sent to news outlets, but two deadlines for paying have passed.

Guthrie was last seen at her Arizona home on January 31 and was reported missing the following day.

Authorities have expressed concerns for Guthrie's health because she needs daily medication.

She is said to have a pacemaker and has dealt with high blood pressure and heart issues, according to sheriff's dispatcher audio on broadcastify.com.
