The products are set to be produced now entirely in either Vietnam or China.
About 100 people were employed at the factory.
The company said it hoped to redeploy as many of its workers as it can.
“Fantastic Furniture confirms it is transitioning its remaining Australian manufacturing operations to an import supply model, with local production concluding on 30 October, 2026,” a spokesman said in a statement to media on Friday.
“Moving to a global supply model supports the long-term commercial sustainability of our business and gives us the flexibility to continue investing in new, fresh product ranges for Australian customers.
“Our immediate focus is our people.
“We recognise the outstanding contribution our manufacturing team has made over many years and remain committed to supporting them through this transition, including retraining and redeployment opportunities, our employee assistance program, and outplacement services where applicable.”
Soaring petrol prices and high interest rates have put pressure on retailers.
