Suspect caught with pants down in store robbery

A man who made a mess of a US convenience store while robbing it has been caught with his pants down – literally.

Surveillance footage from the Brooklyn store shows the suspect jumping the counter after the employee refused to hand over money from the till, NBC New York reports.

But as the man lashes out by throwing a stool, his pants almost slip right off.

Police are now searching for the suspect who walked into the store smoking a cigarette just before midnight on Monday.

He demanded money after the employee asked him to leave.

The suspect then jumped the counter and took the cash himself.

Police said his pants fell down in the chaos.
